End of Semester!!!

Well, unbelievable!!! Semester is nearly over!!

Since this week there were only four tags, it felt really relaxing for me and not as intimidating as in the weeks before…

Sooo, first of all, I liked very much the 43 great free tools which were presented in such an organized way. It reminded me of Symbaloo.  In fact, Symbaloo was on the list there too…

I very much liked the tools for educators which concluded a free printable word-search with pictures. All you need to do is just to decide what words you want in the game. It also concluded an amazing tool called The Dice Maker. Just decide words\pictures. The most amazing one was the board game maker. I just loved it!!!!!!  it creates a beautiful game. I tried it with phrasal verbs because I thought it would be a very nice way to teach phrasal verbs. Well' I wasn’t crazy about the pictures though…

  2. I would love to see that game. Do you think that older kids will like it as well?

  3. I really like the worksheet makers. When teaching elementary school kids, I would sometimes spend a long time online looking for just the right worksheet when a tool like this can make it easy to make a worksheet or activity tailored to the target language. I spent most of my time looking at writing tools; thanks for calling my attention to these too!

  4. Hey Ronit! First of all, I would like to say that I love your enthusiasm! Reading your blog is so much fun! You're very optimistic and pinpoint some great ideas.
I really liked how you brought up the 43 great free tools, when I took a look at it it reminded me a lot of symbaloo, I think it pretty much wraps up a nice amount of websites and tools we've been exposed to. Another idea I liked that you mentioned was the dice maker. It's definitely a great tool to spring up some conversations. The board game was another thing I looked up, I really liked how they premade templates and pictures according to different topics. Wish I would've known about it sooner.

  5. Hi Ronit! I also really liked the Dice Maker. I've used it in classes when I have small groups and we really get a lot of use out of them. I've used them mostly for weak groups, but I can envision making the activities more challenging; i.e., rather than just translating, making up sentences with the word your die lands on.
